| Farm-house "Podere Cacciamici" is located in one of the most beautiful, yet less known areas of Val d’Orcia. Its location is quite particular as it is at the boundary between the Municipalities of Sarteano and Pienza, having in front the fortress of Radicofani and behind the small centre of Castiglioncello on Trinoro, an ancient picturesque and little frequented village. In the countryside nearby you will see flocks of grazing sheep or wild animals (wild boars, roe-deers, hares) in a pure and relaxing environment. |  |

Podere Cacciamici belongs to the Azienda Agricola San Piero in Campo and it is run directly by the proprietors’ family, the Rappuoli brothers. At the farm, everyone is ready to establish a friendly relationship with guests, to whom all activities performed during the year (how to gather grapes and make wine; how to gather olives; to seed and harvest cereals; to rear cattle of Chianina race; and so on) are shown. Hence if you want to approach rural life and try to take part actively in it, come and stay with us. You will be very welcome. |
The farmhouse is composed of five independent flats, furnished according to the most refined taste of antique (rustic furniture, wooden frameworks, tiled floors ..), and equipped with modern facilities as kitchen, heating, rooms with bathroom and TV set. On the groundfloor a flat has been equipped for the disabled. The magnificent wide common hall can be used together by our guests or booked for private parties, dinners and ceremonies. |

Ideal for stays both in Summer and in Winter (the farm is quite near to the skiing resorts of Mount Amiata), "Podere Cacciamici" offers several opportunities: guests can spend quiet afternoons in the shadows of trees and gazebos on our wide lawn, or take part to excursions by mountain bikes (available free at the farm) or on horseback (riding stables are 4 Km far from the Podere), or they can go mushrooming or looking for fruits in the woods nearby.
For lovers of thermal baths "Podere Cacciamici" is the perfect starting point for discovering the most famous spa resorts of Southern Tuscany: Bagni San Filippo (14 Km), Bagno Vignoni (16 km), San Casciano Bagni (23 km), Rapolano (53 km) and finally the best-known Saturnia (70 km), Chianciano (16 km) and Montepulciano (19 km). Otherwise our guests, with the help of a good tourist guidebook will discover art and history of nearby villages which, expecially during Summer, host lots of important folk and cultural events (Bruscello, Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte, Festival della Val d’Orcia, Bravìo delle Botti, Festa del Barbarossa...).
Podere Cacciamici is located in Central Italy, half-way between Rome and Florence, few kilometres from the toll-exit Chiusi-Chianciano Terme of A1 Milan-Rome motorway (Autosole) and only five minutes from the juncture with the state road SS2, best-known as “Cassia”. The picturesque abbeys of Sant’Antimo and Monte Oliveto Maggiore, Bagno Vignoni, Pienza, and towns of art as Montepulciano, Chiusi, Arezzo and Perugia are nearby. The farmholidays is at about half an hour, by car, far from Montalcino and three quarters of an hour from the Chianti region, Siena, Orvieto, San Gimignano; little more than an hour, by car, from Florence, the Tyrrhenian Sea, Viterbo and Assisi, and less than two hours far from Rome. From the farm you can clearly notice the profile of Mount Amiata, whose top, full of excellent skiing plants, is only thirty kilometres far away.
