In the centre of Italy among the beautiful Tuscan hillside you will find the antique city of Volterra, famous for it’s alabastry work and medieval monuments. About 10 Km. from Volterra in the direction of Colle di Val d’Elsa following the sign for Spicchiaiola, you will find “Il Picchio” a small agricultural farm that produces olive oil, grain/cereals and wine and thanks to the restauration of the farmhouse at the end of 1999, it also now offers true tuscan hospitality. The varied type of produce grown in this area also gives you a great chance to explore by walking or riding along the various pathways nearby. |

| The farmhouse with a private swimming pool is completely indipendent at it can be entirely rent.This house is on two floors has two flats. | Directions from the NORTH: Take the A1 Milano – Roma motorway following
the direction/sign to Roma – then coming off the motorway at Firenze Certosa
– take the motorway signed Firenze – Siena following Siena – leave the motorway
when you see the sign for Colle di Val d’Elsa, follow the direction for
Volterra, at about 13 Km. from Colle di Val d’Elsa turn left for Spicchiaiola
– about 3 Km. along the winding road, you will reach “Il Picchio”. Directions from the SOUTH: Take the A1 Roma – Milano motorway following the directions/sign to Milano – then coming off the motorway at Valdichiana – following sign for Siena – take the motorway Siena – Firenze following direction Firenze – leave the motorway when you see the sign for Colle di Val d’Elsa – follow the direction for Volterra – then about 13 Km. from Colle di Val d’Elsa turn left when you see the sign for Spicchiaiola – about 3Km. along the winding road you will reach “Il Picchio”. |
