The residential area of Monte Pozzali is set in the centre of the hilly countryside of the Tuscan Maremma, a splendid secluded panoramic spot.

The Convent

Amid wavy thickets in smooth dales, covered by olive trees and vineyards, rises the hill where, in ancient times,perched the convent of Monte Pozzali. All around there is a mirthy crown of pleasant hillocks, gilded by an eversmiling sun, where the eye can enjoy wandering at random through. On the near hill,by the right bank of the stream Noni, stand the old ruins of the ancient "Castellare" (XI cent.), which, in 1315, was one of the most important among the 34 castles ruled by the Republic of Massa Marittima. Not far away the important medieval towns of Massa Marittima and Volterra the Abbey of St.Galgano (XIII cent.), the Etruscan Roselle with Vetulonia, Populonia, the Tirrenian Sea with its warm beaches and the pleasant isles of the archipelago.

The Farm

The four buildings that form the residential nucleus of the Convent of Monte Pozzali, have bewen equipped with furnishings, both inside and outside, finely planned in order to obtain functionality and comfort, paying also due attention to the needs of handicapped people. Then, walking towards the apartments, one gets ivolved by the grandeur of the structures restored in stone and by the magnificence of arches and porches overlooking delightful gardens, equipped with nooks for cooking for an outdoor meal.

The Convent of Monte Pozzali, restructured today in 14 apartments, offers and guarantees the possibility of enjoying a pleasant holiday, in comfortable lodgings deep in an uncontaminated country. Here green welcomes the guest, with fully equipped areas, paths and mountain-bike routes, and the open-air swimming-pool.
