One week course.
From the 14th of October to the 25th of November 20000

The cooking course will take place in the Borro main villa. The course will deal with both the theoretical and practical issue of the Tuscan traditional kitchen in accordance with the season. On the course students will get a hands on opportunity to learn how to prepare all the best Italian/Mediterranean dishes.

  • Saturday:
    After arriving at the airport di Peretola (Florence) at 4 pm, take the coach provided and arrival at the Borro will be approximately 5.30 pm where guests will be allocated their apartments.
    7:00 pm - Welcome to the Borro cocktails.
    8.30 pm - Dinner in the restaurant " Osteria del Borro".

  • Sunday:
    9:00 am - Continental breakfast in the Palazzo del Borro (The Borro Palace).
    10:30 am - Meet in the conference room for a presentation and introduction to the course with exhibition.
    12:30 pm Lunch at the restaurant.
    3:00 pm A visit to Pieve Romanica di Gropina.
    5:30 pm Return to Borro and Free Time until dinner.
    8:30 pm Dinner at a restaurant.

  • Monday:
    8:30 am Breakfast.
    9:00 am Start the course - Preparation and Initial designs on paper.
    12:30 pm Lunch.
    3:00 pm First lesson: Using the prepared designs a lesson on colors, shades and mediums.
    8:30 Dinner.

  • Tuesday:
    7:30 am Breakfast.
    8:00 am Guided tour of Florence.
    12:30 pm Lunch in Florence then return to Il Borro.
    3:30 pm Commence course. Paining of still life.
    8:30 pm Dinner.

  • Wednesday:
    8:30 am Breakfast.
    9:00 am Commence course wash and picture.
    12:30 pm Lunch.
    3:00 pm Continue with pictures.
    8:30 pm Dinner.

  • Thursday:
    7:30 am Breakfast.
    8.00 am Guided visit to Siena.
    12:30 pm Lunch in Siena then return to Il Borro.
    3:30 pm Continue course with a Lesson on first stages.
    8:30 pm Dinner.

  • Friday:
    8:30 am Breakfast.
    9:00 am Return to the pictures to finish details.
    12:30 pm Lunch.
    3:30 pm Lesson on Fixing, patina, and aging techniques.
    8:30 pm Dinner.

  • Saturday:
    9:00 am Breakfast.
    10:00 am Finish of course with presentation of participation Certificates.
    Leave late morning for the airport.

    Riding Holiday (Specific).
    One week (5 days) to include,
    Lessons -flatwork and jumping and lunging
    Stable management (if required)
    Picnic ride-Barbeque.
    Mountain trekking 1or 2 days.To camp overnight -(summer only)
    If desired these riding holidays will be tailored to individual groups if details of standard of horsemanship and requests are provided at least one week in advance of the commencement of the holiday.
    Price for 1 week personally tailored riding holiday, Lit. 700.000 per person.

    Holiday can be tailored to accomodate complete novices wishing to learn all aspects of horse riding up to those at intermediate level.

    • The estate is situated at the foot of pratomagno mountain in the Apennine Range, and enjoys particularly good meteorological condditions for gliding Our 800 Meter airstrip is ideally situated for operating sailplanes and other Recreational aircraft .
    The risident moter glider (Fournier RF 5B) + professional pilot /flight instructor is available on request for sightseeing,glidingand flight traning.
    Visiting aircraft are welcome and details of "IL Borro' are clearly described in the BOTTLANG international Airfield guide.
