Podere il Poggione
 Is located on the top of Agliati hill, three miles from Palaia which is
a small medieval walled village,10 minutes from the road connecting Florence with Pisa and
the Tirrennian sea.
This is not a crowded tourist area and it is possible to find old abandoned villages and well
preserved little towns.
It is also easy to reach important and historical art cities like Florence, Volterra, San
Gimignano, Siena, Pisa as well as important wine areas like Chianti and Montalcino.

The house
 Was restored in 1923, but the original building is from 1700. The family who bought the house in
1923 was coming from Venice area. They were stone workers for tradition and they restored the house
bringing the stones from a cave 200 mt. away from the house. They also built the altar in the S.Martino's
church (5 min walking from the house), and the big stone cross at the beginning of the road . The house is
furnished with the traditional country and rural furniture, enriched by the good taste of Patrizia: very clean
and comfortable it respects the traditional architecture of the tuscan country houses. Other facilities like the
telephone, laundry etceteras are obviously available. The guesthouse has 5 rooms with bathroom, a large
kitchen, a living room, a large garden, the chance of walking, to have a massage, horse-back riding, biking.
